PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
This position partners with business line management and the Human Resources Managers and Generalists to provide consultative HR support primarily in the areas of recruiting and selection.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides recruiting planning and direction for entry to mid-level positions. Supports part of a business line or 1-2 business lines and/or job families. Works with primarily front-line management on recruitment planning.
* Sources, pre-screens, and interviews internal and external applicants. Recommends and extends offers to candidates. Majority of external recruitment is entry level. A significant number of positions are filled internally. Utilizes applicant/requisition management system to manage all requisition/candidate activity.
* Identifies opportunities and works to improve the quality and efficiency of the recruitment process. Participates in recruiting related and additional HR projects/initiatives; stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete in the local markets.
* Acts as primary liaison with universities related to business line recruitment. On occasion may work with contingency search firm.
* Provides back up to other members of the recruiting team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s Degree preferred
* 2+ years recruiting experience in Financial Services Industry or call center environment preferred
* Results oriented and the ability to learn systems, procedures, and business quickly
* Ability to work independently with a high sense of urgency
* Strong initiative and good judgment skills. Must be resourceful
* Effective time management skills/motivated self-starter.
* Ability to effectively interact with all levels within an organization and to work in a fast pace, professional environment.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately.
* Strong computer skills, internet savvy, and experience with resume database/requisition tracking systems
* Results oriented and desire/ability to quickly learn systems, procedures, and investment management business.
* College degree and two years of related work experience, or a minimum of 6 years related work experience
