Primary Purpose of this Position:
The Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering learning solutions for their assigned client group(s), predominantly in the area of Retail New Hire or RPS 0-2 Year Curriculum. In addition, providing on-going coaching and feedback to ensure associates have the necessary skills to meet the requirements of their position.
Principal Responsibilities:
* Delivers new hire training and other training programs to assigned client groups. Evaluates training to ensure effectiveness and that associates have the necessary skills to perform job duties. Maintains business relationships with management liaisons to ensure feedback on process and results of the training are incorporated into the ongoing curriculum
* Designs predominantly New Hire training programs for assigned client groups. Needs to keep abreast of changes in the organization in order to revise and update existing training programs. Tests new training programs to ensure smooth delivery. Creates scripting for web-based training where applicable
* Conducts needs assessment to determine the type and method of training to improve the effectiveness of New Hire/0-2 Year Curriculum. Consults with training liaisons, managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to determine training requirements.
* Observes other TIPS members’ and SMEs training classes and provides feedback. Updates and maintains class evaluation tools.
Qualifications:
* 1+ year experience in training preferred
* Instructional design
* Industry knowledge
* Presentation/Facilitation skills
* Project management skills
* Negotiation skills
* Leadership skills
* High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years related work experience, or college degree required
